The appearance of the Kauffman Private Collection Luxury vodka opened a new page in the history of Russia’s traditional drink. Russian national vodka was no longer just recognized as a high quality product, but took its place alongside the world famous brands of deluxe spirits. The Kauffman Private Collection Luxury vodka was the world’s first vintage vodka (the year of bottling is always indicated on the label). The principles that govern its production are similar to those employed in winemaking. The Kauffman Private Collection Luxury vodka is produced only in those years when the harvest has been particularly good. It is made from a specially selected batch of wheat from a single gathering, and the whole batch is poured into 25,000 bottles on the same day. The production process deserves special mention. The unique grain mash is distilled into raw spirit which, after a four-stage rectification process, is turned into top-quality spirit. This spirit is then mixed with drinking water that has been cleaned of all salts and organic additives that could detract from the taste of the vodka. After that, the mixture is passed through a ground quartz filter, which removes any mechanical impurities. To improve the taste, the vodka is further pumped through a pipe filled with birch charcoal, from where it drips into a container. The Luxury vodka is finally poured into an unusual curved bottle that has been specially designed and made in France at the famous Saint Gaben glass factory. In Russia, the Kauffman Private Collection Luxury vodka is wrapped in an elegant gift box. |  |
