Progression
First third: The cigar rapidly develops aroma with spicy, woody and flowery tones predominating. Animal and earthy tangs are also discernible. The sign of a good filler is its fairly mild taste despite its pungency and its pleasant spicy and woody flavour with pronounced earthy tangs.
Second third: The emphatic spiciness of the aroma does not deaden its other nuances, among which woody and earthy tangs are particularly distinct. The taste retains its pungency and spiciness, and is as mild and pleasant as it was before.
Final third: The animal component of the aroma strengthens and its burnt component becomes apparent. As previously, it retains the feeling of subtlety and complexity. The taste becomes heavier and rougher, but remains pleasant and fairly mild.
Recommendations
Accompanying drink: vintage rum, whisky, cognac.
Smoking time: after a sumptuous evening meal.
General impressions
A very worthy cigar showing an interesting progression of taste and aroma, and appealing mainly to men. A rich, subtle aroma and full and fairly mild taste.
