Progression
First third: The first draws reveal the not too pleasant tang of burnt feathers. But by the middle of the first third, the taste becomes fuller and the aroma more complex, primarily due to spicy and woody tones. Even so, the taste lacks body and balance; it is far too dry and harsh. Second third: The aroma becomes much more complex and interesting with sweetish, fruity tones appearing to soften the burnt tang, and spicy and woody flavours predominating. Final third: Tropical woody flavours appear in the aroma and the taste, and the earthy and animal notes are increased. The taste remains harsh.
Recommendations
Accompanying drink: dark rum, coffee, sherry. Smoking time: after a meal, preferably with a drink.
General impressions
The cigar is well rolled and smokes well and evenly. It possesses a pleasant and fairly complex aroma, but due to its lack of balance, the taste is too harsh and dry.
