A dark cigar with a thin oily wrapper. Pre-smoke taste and flavour do not impress with their bouquet but compensate in quality. Soft spices, a mix of rye and wheat bread, a barnyard undertow in the aroma are matched with a blend of nuts, fruit, exotic timber and dry rose, which surface in the taste.
Strong as it is, the cigar amazes with its extreme smoothness and ease of draw. Its «lit» flavour overwhelms and satisfies. A classic odour of habanos is effectively accented with barnyard tones of leather and ash, with a spicy twang thrown in for full measure. The taste is dominated by a spicy sting and nutty bitterness, which linger on in the aftertaste.
An excellent cigar with a strong personality and well-balanced performance for experienced smokers. It requires a special treatment. Not unlike old rum, which would be an ideal partner for it. |
