A light brown cigar, shot with red and having a subtle, oily wrapper leaf and a ‘pigtail’ cap. It’s intense unlit aroma gives off clearly distinguishable shades of leather, ground pepper, leafy wood and valerian. The cigar has a bitter, but at the same time sharp taste that is clearly reminiscent of cinnamon, cedar and dried flowers.
From the first moments of smoking, the cigar produces a delightfully rich aroma with the pronounced scent of cedar, mahogany, chocolate and leather. And, as smoking progresses, this aroma becomes even richer with shades of mint appearing in the last third. The taste is mainly bitter and sharp with hints of noble woods, sun-baked grass, spices and leather, while the burnt elements give off clear intimations of baked potato and bread crust.
Smoking this cigar does not become wearisome, but remains relaxing and pleasant from first to last. Its aromatic range, the richness and purity of its tonal scale and its prolonged effect upon the palate are a source of great joy.
The cigar’s main distinguishing feature lies in the astonishing way it manages to combine a relatively small format with the full-bodied taste that, as a rule, is characteristic of large format cigars. It is definitely a find for those sophisticated smokers, who like a rich bouquet and a full-flavoured taste, but do not have enough time to smoke, say, a churchill.
